Chinese mainland received 162.42 billion yuan (22.91 billion U.S. dollars) of charitable donations from home and abroad in 2018.
SHENZHEN, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese mainland received 162.42 billion yuan (22.91 billion U.S. dollars) of charitable donations from home and abroad in 2018, according to a report released by China Charity Alliance.
Chinese private enterprises and state-owned enterprises donated about 45.03 billion yuan and 31.09 billion yuan respectively in 2018, according to the report.
A total of 20 Internet donation platforms approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs have received 3.17 billion yuan in 2018, up 26.8 percent year on year, the report said.
The statistics in the report also show the social donations mainly went to the fields of education, medical health, and poverty alleviation and development in 2018. ■
