BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- Domestically-produced animated film "The Legend of Hei," an adaptation of an animated show of the same name mainly presented on online video platforms, hit big screens nationwide on Saturday.
The film narrates an adventure of a goblin cat called Hei with its human friends to reflect on trust and growth.
First broadcast in 2011, the original animation show has only renewed a total of 28 episodes over the past eight years, still winning the hearts of a myriad of audiences.
Based on more than 70,000 drawings, the 100-minute film version took five years to produce and also integrated an environment protection theme.
