BEIJING, June 18 (Xinhua) -- A troupe from the China Children Art Theater performed over 10 public welfare shows for children from June 10 to 16 in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
The shows performed in Lhasa and Shigatse in Tibet are part of a program initiated by the theater in 2018 to enable more children in border towns to enjoy outstanding child plays.
More than 50,000 children living in border areas in Tibet, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the southwestern province of Yunnan and the northeastern province of Jilin have watched 60 shows by the theater over the past 18 months since the program launched.
